1. Who you are contracting with
Tavial Inc., incorporated in Alberta, Canada, trading as Tavial. Business registration #724187638. GST/HST #724187638RT0001.
Address: Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Phone: +1 (587) 874-8794. Email: info@tavial.ca. Office hours: Mon-Sat 9:00am - 8:00pm.
2. When these terms apply
A contract is formed when you confirm a booking — on this website, by phone, or by text — and we accept it. The version of these terms in force at that moment is the version that governs your booking; later changes do not apply to it.
Nothing here removes rights you have under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act or other Canadian consumer law. Where a term below conflicts with those rights, those rights win.
3. What we do
- Window cleaning, interior and exterior
- Gutter cleaning
- Residential cleaning, standard and deep
- Lawn care — aeration, dethatching, overseeding, fertilizing
- Full house exterior cleaning — soft wash plus windows
Each service page describes what is and is not included, and when in the year it is available. Outdoor work is seasonal.
4. Booking, and when we start
Straightforward bookings — one service, inside our service area, under $500 — are confirmed automatically. Larger or out-of-area bookings are reviewed by a person and confirmed by email, normally within one business hour during office hours (Mon-Sat 9:00am - 8:00pm).
We work one quadrant of Calgary at a time, roughly a third of the month each. Your confirmation names the date and the arrival window; that is the date the service begins. If you need a date outside your quadrant’s days, either the booking is $500 or more, in which case any day is open to you, or a $0 surcharge applies for the detour.
Weather moves outdoor work. If conditions on the morning would be unsafe or would spoil the result, we contact you and move the visit to the next slot in your area at no charge.
5. Prices
Prices shown on this website are estimates based on what you tell us — the number of window frames, the size of the home, the size of the lawn. The final price is confirmed on site before work begins. If what we find is materially different from what was booked, we tell you the new price and you decide before we start.
A price we quote you by phone or in person for a specific job is a quote, not an estimate: that is the price for that job.
- Minimum charge: $140 per visit, whatever the services selected.
- Travel: free within 30 km. Beyond that, $10.
- Off-day surcharge: $0, as described in section 4.
- Bundle discounts apply automatically. If more than one bundle fits your cart, we apply the single one that saves you the most.
- GST at 5% is added on top of catalogue prices and shown as its own line before you confirm.
Prices quoted by phone or in person are quoted before GST. If you pay that quote online by card, 5% GST is added at checkout; if you pay cash or by cheque, you pay the quoted amount.
All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
6. Paying
A 15% deposit is taken online by card at the time of booking, through Stripe. The balance is due after the visit and can be paid by card, cash or cheque. Your card is stored by Stripe for the balance and for any cancellation fee under our Cancellation Policy. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD).
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never receive your card number. After the visit you can pay the balance by card through the link or QR code the crew gives you, or in cash or by cheque.
Tips are optional and are never added by default. A tip is not part of the price of the service, is not taxed, and does not reduce any balance you owe.
7. Subscriptions and repeat visits
You can put a service on a repeating schedule. Each visit in the schedule is priced and confirmed on its own; the first booking is the first occurrence, not a commitment to a fixed total.
If you save a card for a subscription, you authorise us to charge that card automatically for each scheduled visit, at the amount and on the schedule agreed with you. You can pause, change or end a subscription at any time from your account, or by calling or messaging us — there is no notice period and no cancellation charge for ending a subscription itself. A visit already inside the cancellation window in section 10 is still subject to that section.
8. Our redo guarantee
If the work is not right, tell us and we come back and redo it at no charge. No forms, no argument.
The guarantee covers the same scope of work as the original visit and must be claimed within 7 days of the visit. It does not cover damage caused by weather, by third parties, or by ordinary use after we left. If a redo is genuinely not possible we refund the affected part of the visit instead.
9. Your cancellation rights under Alberta law
Bookings made through this website are internet sales contracts under Alberta’s Consumer Protection Act and its Internet Sales Contract Regulation. That regulation gives you rights we cannot contract out of:
- If we failed to disclose the information the regulation requires before you entered the contract, or failed to give you a real chance to accept, decline or correct errors, you may cancel from the date of the contract until 7 days after you received your copy of it.
- If we did not give you a copy of the contract at all, you may cancel within 30 days of entering it.
- If we do not begin the service within 30 days of the agreed start date, you may cancel at any time before it begins.
You can cancel by any means — a phone call, an email, a text. Where such a cancellation applies, we refund everything you paid within 15 days, and section 10 does not apply.
Your confirmation email is your copy of the contract. It contains our legal name and address, your name, the date of the contract, the itemized price and total, the payment terms, the start date and the cancellation policy.
10. Cancelling or moving a visit outside those rights
You can cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the start of your visit.
Inside that window, and for no-shows:
- If you paid a deposit or prepaid, that payment is kept in full as the cancellation charge. If you prepaid the whole visit, that means the whole amount. We do not also charge a separate fee.
- If you paid nothing up front, a fee of up to $30 may be charged to the card on file.
This covers a slot we cannot refill at short notice. We waive it in genuine emergencies — tell us what happened.
If we cancel for a reason of our own — illness, a vehicle problem, a scheduling failure — you pay nothing, we move you to the next slot in your area, and we credit $20 toward that visit. Weather rescheduling is never charged.
Full details are in our .
11. Access and safety
You agree to give us safe access at the booked time: a clear path, pets contained, and correct gate or door codes. If part of a job would put a crew member at risk — an unsafe ladder position, an aggressive animal, ice — we skip that part and adjust the invoice to the work actually done.
If nobody is there and we cannot start, that is treated as a late cancellation under section 10.
12. If something goes wrong
Tavial carries general liability insurance for property damage. Tell us within 48 hours of the visit so we can look at it while the evidence is fresh.
We are not responsible for:
- damage that was already there — cracked seals, failing frames, loose siding, weakened landscaping;
- consequences of something relevant that was not disclosed at booking;
- indirect or consequential loss, except where the law does not allow us to exclude it.
Our liability for any one claim is limited to what you paid for that visit — except where Canadian consumer law gives you more, in which case it gives you more.
13. Complaints and governing law
Start with us: info@tavial.ca or +1 (587) 874-8794. Most things are fixed the same week.
These terms are governed by the law of Alberta and the federal law of Canada applying in Alberta, and disputes go to the Alberta courts. You can also contact Service Alberta’s Consumer Contact Centre about a consumer complaint.
14. Changes
We update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top is the current version, and as section 2 says, the version that applies to a booking is the one in force when you made it.
